Joe Biden is attacking racial discrimination in housing from the nation s highest office.
In his first days as commander in chief, Biden issued orders to advance racial equity and directed the federal housing authority to rectify any policies that are injurious to communities of color. The president also acknowledged that federal, state, and local governments were directly involved in creating racist housing policies that let Black Americans fall behind in homeownership a situation he is trying to rectify with these orders.

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. â Bi-weekly webinars to help educate people on the COVID-19 vaccine are far-reaching.
The webinars are organized by Gaylene Kanoyton. As president of Celebrate Healthcare, Kanoyton advocates for minorities and is continuing that work in her new role sitting on Virginiaâs Vaccine Advisory Work Group.
âWe are working hard to make sure everything is fair and equitable,â Kanoyton said. âWe want to make sure everyone is educated.â
Black, Latino and Native American communities have been hit especially hard by the pandemic.
According to VDH, as of February 7, an estimated 202,072 people who are Black, Latino, Native American and other races have been vaccinated. In comparison, approximately 514,472 whites have had the shot.
